Hello Dearies....
Today we laid to rest a beautiful soul. One of my "regulars" at work died this week.
Joyce was one of the most giving people I had ever met. Joyce and Dave (her husband) came in every morning. Every morning, they had a smile, a pat on the arm and a kind word. Joyce even made me a bracelet. It's beautiful. Bright and shiny, just like Joyce.
In her death, Joyce saved the lives of 23 people by being an organ donor. My heart was breaking watching Dave wander around. He is so lost with out his wife of 45 years.
I hope I never have to endure the pain that he's going through right now....

Happy birthday to me....
Hello Dearies....
Today was my 22nd birthday (again). I had a pretty good day, even if it started out rough.
Chief and I had plans to go to Washington with MiL. He had a doctor's appointment and I wanted to poke my nose into the Walmart there.
Plans have a way of getting messed up.
I had barely opened my eyes when I heard Bird in the bathroom throwing up. Chief just looked and me and said Happy Birthday! What a way to start my day.
Bird and I made a deal that we were going to get him out of pull up's. To do that (tmi here) I have to give him up to 6 months of diarrhea. Sounds fun doesn't it? It's a big long nasty story. But he's at the age where I'm not comfortable helping him clean up for a bath. I bought him new big boy underwear, and I'm hoping we can get this finished by the start of school.
I had given him a laxative last night. Again a nasty story we won't get into, but yes this was all my fault.
So I got Bird cleaned up and in the tub, called MiL and cancelled our shopping/doctor trip.
I sat down and got adsorbed into Minecrack. I've been having a lot of fun playing. The Boy and Chatty came over and said they wanted to take me to lunch. I love spending time with my kids so I was happy to go.
Flash forward to noon when I was supposed to be ready to go to lunch. I had just gotten off of Minecrack and was in the tub when the kids got here.
They wanted to take me to El Jimador's. The people that run El Jimmies are really cool, but I should have known the kids were up to something....
That's right, I got pied in the face! Damn kids.
After a quick trip to the Smoke Shop I headed home to get my fix of Minecrack again. (see a trend to my day here?)
MiL called and picked me up for a trip to Walmart to get stuff for cake and dinner. Did I mention she bought me the coolest wallet ever?
Back home and back to Minecrack.
Chief and I made dinner together and the cake. It's nice spending time with him. We don't get near enough alone time.
So now dinner and cake have been eaten, I've been sung to, and I got another fix of Minecrack. It's time to clean the clothes off of my bed and go to sleep. 4 am comes VERY early!

Happy birthday Bird!
Hello Dearies....
I know I've been neglecting you, and I'm sorry. Things have been so busy in the life and times of the Tribe.
Last Sunday was Bird's birthday! My baby boy turned into a teenager. He's so amazing! When Bird was little, I was told to not get attached, he wouldn't make it to 5. Stupid doctors....they don't always know what they're talking about. (even if they think they do) The Boy and Chatty came over for dinner. I had made Bird a poke'ball cake. It's all he talked about for weeks!
My birthday boy blowing out the candles.
Chief has been sick. His right foot is infected. He had a doctor's appointment yesterday. We weren't sure if he was going to be admitted to the hospital or not. When he called me at work and told me he was on his way home, I burst into tears. I was so worried about him. Chief has another appointment next week. So I have another week to fret and worry.
Mother's day is in 2 days. I've been trying to con the Fruitians to make me breakfast in bed. I'm betting on a pack of Poptarts for breakfast.
The female Parental Figure invited Midget and I to a mother/daughter thing tomorrow. It starts at 2. The same time I get off of work. I hope those other women don't mind me smelling like a french fry!
I've started the packing for our move. I can't wait til we get downstairs! It'll make so much easier on all of us.
I've gotten a ton of questions about the wedding. I'm going to try and make it through this part of the blog with no tears....The wedding has to be postponed. That's right....one more of my plans falling through. Chief is still married to Colleen. He hasn't seen or heard from her in 12 years. We talked to the lawyer and it's going to cost about $750 for the divorce. And that's only IF we can find her so he can divorce her.
I know I should have told everyone sooner. I just couldn't bring myself to admit it. It's breaking my heart. I just want to through my hands in the air and give up. I have no idea how I'm going to come up with that much money....ever. I love Chief, and I plan on spending my life with him, I'd just rather do it as his wife....

Celebrating life....
Hello Dearies....
Happy Impossible Astronaut Day! Are you wearing your tally marks?
Today is my day off. I plan on getting as much of my housework done as I can so I can enjoy tomorrow. (also my day off!)
Saturday was a day of mixed feelings for me. My grandma's memorial was rough on me. I had to sit there and watch my daddy and niece #1 crying. The Boy started crying and I lost it. I was trying to be strong for my family.
I didn't tell the Fruitians what was going on until we were almost to the church. Partly a parenting fail, and partly self preservation skills. Midget would have been a wreck all week, if I had told her. They still don't really understand death.
When my family gets together for a funeral, we cry and mourn. But we also laugh and tell silly stories and remember the good times.
This was also a day for hugging cousins I haven't seen in about 10 years.

Here we are. All of the Beyes kids!
Damn that's a good looking bunch! I'm there in the back. Standing up 2 steps so I could be close the their height! I'm the shortest blood related adult on this side. And yes, every last one of them makes sure I know that.
I love this group so much! They are all so important to me.
On the home front, things are going pretty good for the most part. The Boy and I are thinking about looking for another job. I'm not too sure about it yet. I know what I'm doing and what I can get away with at Burger Hell. A change would be nice, but still....
The Fruitains are doing great in school. Midget is a C away from A Honor Roll. Bird is getting excited over the Special Olympics coming up. This will be Midget's first time joining him.
I got great news from our property manager. We get the next downstairs apartment that comes open. That means moving away from the insane drunken neighbor! The next day a woman that lives downstairs told Chief that she was moving in the next few weeks! It's only downstairs and around the corner, but it's downstairs! No more steps. No more insane drunken neighbor. No more leaky bathtubs. And MiL and the Parental Figures will be able to come visit. Ok, so that just means I have to keep the Hut clean(er). Chief will be able to walk to tiny Tink, so no more trails of puppy pads for the cats to try and bury. I'll also have to keep a very close eye on the cats. I don't want them to streak out the door. I'm also going to have to keep my shades closed!
I've been working on an afghan for about a month or so now. I've gotten it about half done or so. I can't wait to finish it! It's going to be beautiful thrown over the back of my chair! I have plans for a new one in blues, and another in purples. I just have to sneak the yarn in past Chief. (he's going to yell at me when he reads that)
My crocheting doesn't bother him. It's all the balls of yarn stashed through the house. They are everywhere! I love yarn! Hello my name is Madwoman....I'm a yarn addict.
So with my 22nd birthday coming up (shut up I can be 22 if I want) please send yarn!

1825
Hello dearies....
Things are still crazy with the Tribe. We got through Easter and the Sibling's birthdays.
Chief and the Fruitians.
Aren't they amazing? I wish we could have had Squealer on Easter. One of these days I'll get the whole Tribe together for pictures.
I love this little group so much. Midget looked like a little princess. Bird was so handsome in his tie. (Even if he acted like he was choking all day) The Boy isn't a boy anymore. He's an incredible man. And Chief....I must have been a saint in a past life. I'm not sure how I got so lucky to be able to wake up to this gorgeous man everyday.
So my blog is titled 1825. That is the number of days Chief and I will have been together tomorrow. Tomorrow is our 5th anniversary.
At this time 5 years ago I was waiting for what I thought was a one night stand to show up. I had been on this site called Fubar. I had made several friends on that page. But one day a guy the lived 30 miles from me sent me a friends request. He was a very good looking man. Bald with brown eyes! Just my type. So I accepted his request and we chatted back and forth for a few days. He asked for my number and I gave it to him. When I answered that call, I swear my hearty skipped a beat. That deep voice! I was hooked I wanted to meet him. I wasn't in a good place in my life at that time. I didn't think I'd ever find a man that I'd like let alone fall in love with. Mace and I talked on the phone for hours. He definitely wasn't like any of the other guys I had met.
I invited Mace out to "visit" one night. When he walked in my door I believed in love at first sight! Here was this gorgeous man standing in my bedroom, and I knew I never wanted him to walked out my door. We never really dated. Within 2 weeks he pretty much had moved in and my "I'll never fall in love" went right out the door. This is now the longest one night stand in history.
I'm so lucky! I have an amazing man, 5 awesome kids, the cutest grand baby ever and a new one on the way. I couldn't ask for more.
The only thing I could ask for right now is to watch Doctor Who and snuggle....oh and more yarn for my afghan. (I ran out)

The life and times of a Madwoman....
Hello Dearies,
So, so busy! Easter is Sunday and I haven't gotten basket stuffers. Thursday is Froggie's birthday. Easter is also Tattoo's birthday. Mace and I's anniversary is the 7th. Llama's baby shower is the 14th. May is full of birthdays and June is the wedding!
Speaking of the wedding....candle making sucks ass! Just saying. I think I'm going to give up and buy the damn candles. I'm starting to stock up on the bowls and platters for the food.
Today I got a brand new toy. I ordered a mini whoopie pie pan. The little cakes it makes are just too cute! I have a bunch I need to ice tomorrow.
I've been getting back into crocheting. Yesterday I taught myself a new pattern. I'm pretty proud of it. I totally suck at reading patterns.
Mace and I had a little set back on a very important plan for the wedding. We'll hopefully get good news on that front next week.
Work has been pretty good. I was just over an hour short of overtime this past week. That'll be nice right before the baby shower. Even the Ass has been nice lately.
Midget got B Honor Roll! I'm so proud of her. I know school is really hard for her sometimes. She had a "Spring" program the other night. She did a really good job!
Bird has an IEP meeting coming up. The teachers never have anything bad to say about him.
Mace and I are going to go get our Doctor Who on. Here's a parting picture of me getting my geek on....

Where are the golden rings when you need them?
Good Sunday morning/afternoon Dearies....
We've had a VERY eventful morning at the Hut.
The Fruitians go to church every Sunday with the Parental Figures. It's Mace and I's "alone" time. This morning started out like every other Sunday morning. I spent the first hour yelling at the kids to hurry up and get ready.
Midget was taking a super long time to get ready, but this is nothing unusual. The Boy called to let us know they were on the way. By the time he got up here, Bird was ready and Midget was still in the bathroom. She went to grab her coat. I should have known here that something was up. Midget took forever getting her coat.
Out the door they went, running and yelling.
The Boy sat here and talked to us while Mace and I played an online game. After the Boy left with Chatty, I went to check on the animals. Midget had taken a box out of the hedgehog's cage. No biggie, I knew it would happen sooner or later so I'll just move the tank....right? Wrong! I grabbed the water bowl and didn't hear Sonic (the hedgehog of course) huffing at me. I lifted up her igloo and....nothing. She wasn't there. The hedgehog wasn't in her cage!
I yelled for Mace and we started searching Midget's room. I was starting to freak out. When we couldn't find Sonic we came out to the living room. I'm not sure who thought of it, but Midget did take a REALLY long time getting her coat. And her coat wasn't on when she left.
OMFG! Did my daughter just take a hedgehog to church!?!?!?
I must admit after the first freak out, I found this very funny. My daughter may have just let loose a hedgehog in the most uptight church known to mankind. I can see those old stuck-up's climbing the pews and screaming for their lives, thinking god was bringing down his wrath!
Mace and I were freaking out. I called the female Parental Figure, but she kept hanging up on me. I kept searching Midget's room. Nothing....
After a couple of hours I went in Midget's room one last time and was poking around when I heard huffing. Oh thank goodness!
Sonic had found a nice warm cozy spot in Midget's toys and was fast asleep. I returned her to her cage and rewarded her with a bite of banana.
Now if you'll excuse me, I need to go see if there are any new grey hairs that need plucking....
