Celebrating life....

Hello Dearies....

Happy Impossible Astronaut Day! Are you wearing your tally marks?

Today is my day off. I plan on getting as much of my housework done as I can so I can enjoy tomorrow. (also my day off!)

Saturday was a day of mixed feelings for me. My grandma's memorial was rough on me. I had to sit there and watch my daddy and niece #1 crying. The Boy started crying and I lost it. I was trying to be strong for my family.

I didn't tell the Fruitians what was going on until we were almost to the church. Partly a parenting fail, and partly self preservation skills. Midget would have been a wreck all week, if I had told her. They still don't really understand death.

When my family gets together for a funeral, we cry and mourn. But we also laugh and tell silly stories and remember the good times.

This was also a day for hugging cousins I haven't seen in about 10 years.

Here we are. All of the Beyes kids!

Damn that's a good looking bunch! I'm there in the back. Standing up 2 steps so I could be close the their height! I'm the shortest blood related adult on this side. And yes, every last one of them makes sure I know that.
I love this group so much! They are all so important to me.

On the home front, things are going pretty good for the most part. The Boy and I are thinking about looking for another job. I'm not too sure about it yet. I know what I'm doing and what I can get away with at Burger Hell. A change would be nice, but still....

The Fruitains are doing great in school. Midget is a C away from A Honor Roll. Bird is getting excited over the Special Olympics coming up. This will be Midget's first time joining him.

I got great news from our property manager. We get the next downstairs apartment that comes open. That means moving away from the insane drunken neighbor! The next day a woman that lives downstairs told Chief that she was moving in the next few weeks! It's only downstairs and around the corner, but it's downstairs! No more steps. No more insane drunken neighbor. No more leaky bathtubs. And MiL and the Parental Figures will be able to come visit. Ok, so that just means I have to keep the Hut clean(er). Chief will be able to walk to tiny Tink, so no more trails of puppy pads for the cats to try and bury. I'll also have to keep a very close eye on the cats. I don't want them to streak out the door. I'm also going to have to keep my shades closed!

I've been working on an afghan for about a month or so now. I've gotten it about half done or so. I can't wait to finish it! It's going to be beautiful thrown over the back of my chair! I have plans for a new one in blues, and another in purples. I just have to sneak the yarn in past Chief. (he's going to yell at me when he reads that)

My crocheting doesn't bother him. It's all the balls of yarn stashed through the house. They are everywhere! I love yarn! Hello my name is Madwoman....I'm a yarn addict.

So with my 22nd birthday coming up (shut up I can be 22 if I want) please send yarn!
